Chief executive officer - David P.A. Mullings
Mr. Mullings is an entrepreneur, investor, author and speaker. He is a founder, C.E.O. and Deputy Chairman of Blue Mahoe Partners, Inc.
He is a seasoned entrepreneur with experience in the finance industry in Jamaica and the USA, most recently serving as Investor Relations Specialist for Left Brain Capital Management, a long-biased hedge fund ranked among the top 10 best performing funds worldwide by Opalesque in September 2017. He is a Mentor for the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship Caribbean and Founders Institute Jamaica.
He served on the Board of Directors for the Institute of Caribbean Studies in Washington, D.C. and was the Future Leaders Representative for the USA on the Jamaica Diaspora Advisory Board, representing Jamaicans under the age of 30 across the USA in meetings with the Prime Minister of Jamaica and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade. He was part of the planning team for the first Jamaica Diaspora Future Leaders Conference in Kingston, Jamaica.
Mr. Mullings graduated with an M.B.A. from the University of Miami at the age of 22 with concentrations in Marketing and International Business after taking time off to play football with Real Mona F.C. and work in Jamaica. He graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelors of Science degree at the age of 19.
chief investment officer - KEVIN BURROWS, CFA, CAIA
Kevin Burrows is Chairman, founder and Chief Investment Officer of Blue Mahoe Partners, Inc. He is also the Founding Partner and CIO of Diomedea Capital Advisors, a Bahamas-based investment advisory and consulting firm. He is the former CIO of the Adi Dassler International Family Office and remains a Consultant to the founding family.
Kevin has over 25 years of experience in the finance industry, including an international posting as Director and Chief Investment Officer of London-based Nedgroup Investments. While at Nedgroup, Kevin had overall management responsibility for the London office and directed their international multi-manager funds with assets of approximately $1billion.
Prior to founding Diomedea, Kevin was the Senior Vice President at Colina Financial Advisors Ltd (CFAL) and was President of Nassau-based Binnacle Investment Group, formerly Oceanic Investment Management. He began his career with Credit Suisse.
Kevin received a BA in Economics (Cum Laude) from Yale University and a Masters in Finance from Cambridge University. He holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations and is a former President and Director of the CFA Society The Bahamas.
president - Tarik Minott
Mr. Minott is a founder and President of Blue Mahoe Partners, Inc. and also the founder and Managing Director of Minott Dialysis Supply, a medical equipment supplies company focused on dialysis products. He is also a shareholder and a Senior Financial Advisor with Caribbean Assurance Brokers, a multi-line insurance brokerage firm based in Kingston, Jamaica.
Mr. Minott is a seasoned investor in private companies and real estate development, with strong relationships in Jamaica and Barbados. He provides strong oversight and deal flow access to the company. He is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario.
vice president, business development - omari mcintosh
Mr. McIntosh is a founding partner of the firm and Vice President of Business Development. He has worked with Mr. Mullings on all his ventures for the last 10 years, assisting with evaluating opportunities, launching ventures and building key relationships in Jamaica where he is based. An avid Warren Buffett enthusiast, he ensures that all investments follow our investment philosophy and is primarily responsible for developing worst-case scenarios so as to help Blue Mahoe Partners minimize downside risk in each deal.
Mr. McIntosh is based in Kingston, Jamaica and focuses on investor relations and special projects.
Mr. Libertini was Managing Director of Lloyd Jones Capital. In this capacity, he was responsible for all aspects of capital raising and investor relations. Prior to joining Lloyd Jones Capital, he served as director of institutional business development for a real estate private equity firm.
He spent much of his career in Chicago as the senior managing director for Cabrera Capital Markets, the nation’s second largest Hispanic-owned investment bank and brokerage. Robert was a founding member and shareholder of Cabrera as well as a member of the firm’s board of directors. The firm provides investment banking and full-service institutional brokerage services worldwide.
In addition, he was one of the founding shareholders of the firm’s affiliate, Cabrera Capital Partners which provides investment management and advisory services to private and public sector institutions.
Earlier in his career, Robert held financial positions with both Unilever Corporation and Cumberland Farms/Gulf Oil. He also served on the board of directors of a cloud computing start-up that has successfully completed several rounds of financings as it continues its growth.
Robert received both a Master of Science in Finance (MSF) degree and a Bachelor of Science from Boston College. He also holds securities licenses 7, 24, 27, 63, and 65.
Mr. McCarthy is the current President of the Holdun Family Office. Holdun is dedicated to providing discretionary wealth management services to families, foundations, and endowments. Holdun has a proud heritage that can be traced back to Sir Herbert Holt, arguably one of the most successful businessmen in Canadian history. During the height of his power, the Irish industrialist controlled some 300 companies on three continents worth over an estimated $3 billion. As Chairman of the Royal Bank of Canada, he increased their assets fifteen-fold during his 26-year reign.
The Holt/Dunn Family trust was created to continue his legacy. Since 1990, the value of the portfolio has increased thirteen-fold, under the management of Sir Herbert's great-grandson, Stuart Dunn.
Aurelia is a results driver Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Startup Innovation executive with over 25 years of experience in technology and innovation. Her proven record of consistently increasing revenue, establishing multi-million dollar accounts, launching new solutions and start-ups, as well as raising capital for new ventures has uniquely positioned her to be a valuable asset to both corporations and start up ventures. Previously, Aurelia was Vice President of Business Development for the joint venture between Magic Johnson and EdisonLearning. Throughout Aurelia’s career, she has been a disrupter and part of disruptive technology companies as seen by being the first African-American female Account Manager at Cisco and one of the pioneers in the Miami tech start-up ecosystem as an Associate Partner at Rokk3r, a global company builder. During her time at Rokk3r, she advised over 250 startup entrepreneurs on their strategy, fundraising and pitch deck preparation. She was also responsible for bringing two of the largest startups in Rokk3r’s portfolio and an investor that resulted in the acquisition and public offering of Rokk3r.
Over the last three decades, Sandra Arber’s career has bridged the intersection of creative content and business. After receiving her undergraduate degree from Harvard and an MBA from the University of Virginia, she went to work in various capacities in physical production (short films, daily television and feature films), content development (scripts, plays, and television formats) to more business-related positions at Hollywood studios. In London, she held the position of Director of Marketing for the film commission where she interfaced with heads of production to promote the city as a preeminent location for filming. Upon her return to the US, she co-founded a television content development company, adapting international formats and licensing on-air series for the US market. Most recently, she was Director of Investor Relations for New World Angels, Florida’s largest structured angel group, where she developed a network of investors and other startups.
